Victory

What a great week! The aroma of victory lingers from VBS each night; Moms and Dads actually playing with and enjoying their kids!! Imagine that! No fighting, screaming or yelling, only laughter and loving. Oh yes, there was some screaming when we were cheering for our families, or doing relay races or having water balloon tosses!! Then it was Encounter weekend, home of Freedom for the captives!! WOOHOO God is so faithful in that each time we host an ENCOUNTER God shows up in amazing ways; physical healings, forgiveness,deliverance,,,check out the video testimonies!! Journey classes keep rolling on Wednesday nights....so get with the program people. See what God is doing and become a part of the picture and not just in the stands!! Get a revelation of the Cross!! FREEDOM

This weekend is Freedom weekend for the Men and Women of Life Center.We began 2 years ago to hold Encounter Weekends and this is yet another opportunity for the doors to be closed on the devil, and to begin to Journey forward into the Freedom and abundance that Jesus died to give us!! Please pray throughout the weekend as the Holy Spirit directs you...and be sure to join us Sunday Morning at 10am to hear for yourself the Testimonies of God's powerful work!!!! Transformed lives = God present!!

Full Flame Film Series

Are you burning at FULL FLAME?? Or are you flickering a lil bit??? Well then, join John and me on Wednesday evenings beginning June 30 from 6:30-8pm. We will be hosting a film series with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke that will seriously fan the flame of our hearts towards our co-workers, neighbors and friends that are lost!!! Encounter Weekend

Wondering who out there in cyber-land needs an Encounter with God?? Really we should call these FREEDOM WEEKENDS!!! SO who needs some freedom??? Freedom in your mind, thoughts? Freedom from pain, hurts, emotional wounds and unforgiveness? Freedom from fear, rejection,sin?? Well then July 16-18 is for you. If you cannot honestly say, I am free to love, live, worship, pray, forgive......then mark your calendar today. Any and all adults are welcome to attend...we will worship together and then move into Men and Women's groups for the teaching sessions. No one leaves these weekends unchanged. Rejoice !

The Word of God says we are to REJOICE with those who rejoice ...and today is Johnny and Nicole's 5th Anniversary! SO we thank the Lord for HIs provision over and for their lives the past 5 years...they are the cutest couple, like two lil snuggly bugs, are they! And now, they snuggly with the cutest lil baby ever, Gatlyn Max...can there be toooo much cuteness in one family??? Well I thank the Lord for a young couple loving God, loving one another and living for the Great King. Julie

Funny but true

The other morning i was off to a slow start. Prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to get me going. Looked outside and saw a chipmonk swimming for his life in the pool. It was early morning, raining and I was in my bathrobe, curlers and barefeet...but went running outside to rescue lil chipper! Grabbed the net , put it on the longer stick and chased chipper around the pool, only to fling him to safety on the lawn. Coaxing and cheering the stunned chipper over to the rockwall and hostas, i prodded him along as he was shivering and barely able to move. I cheered him up and over the wall!!! Victory! Went back into the house only to look out and see another chippy in the pool. Repeat the above, except with more intensity. This time i flung chipper number two a little harder onto the lawn and he seemed more than stunned. I kept watch on him chasing away the robins and crows. Covered him with leaves only to have him crawl out. I was amazed how quickly the prey came to check him out!! AS i was standing in the rain, freezing with my robe , curlers and barefeet, i was amazed at my energy for chipper one and chipper two. How much more so does God love us and how much greater the crowd of witnesses cheers us on each day..needless to say I was awake now. Thanks God. Julie

Emily's new cell

Launched another cell today!!! Very exciting!! Any young Moms out there looking for friendship and encouragement, find find Emily's info on the table in the foyer and join her on Thursday mornings at 10:30am. Kid friendly and Mommy strengthening!! Julie

Learning from my students

Tuesday night at cell, we were praying as a group and individually, to be more sensitive to the promptings of Holy Spirit. Our earnest desire was to be quickly obedient and responsive when the Lord nudges us to pray or do or go or say etc...Well Heather got the lesson and I missed it!! Shannon came into class last night in obvious pain in her back and my response was, oh we will pray for you before we leave tonight. WHen Heather learned of Shannon's pain, she responded quickly to Holy Spirit and asked her if she could pray right away. She did...and within moments later during class..i noticed Shannon was moving way more easily. I said something and she piped up...oh yes!!! Heather prayed for me and now i am perfectly fine and my back is great!!! Thanks Lord for teaching the students and humbling the teacher...be assured God will accomplish HIs good pleasure with or without you!! HE will indeed find a willing heart to be used to love HIs people. A wonderful lesson for this old teacher. Thanks to Jesus our Master Teacher who never gives up on us!! Julie

Whom do you serve?

Just stop and ask yourself,"What do i think about more than anything else in this life?" You answer will probably tell you whom you are serving with your time and talents. Rick Renner WOW! Just a big Thank you for all the Birthday blessings yesterday! Facebook greetings to new office furniture, cards, flowers, candy, homemade gifts, lunch,(my grandson attended!) hugs and prayers!!! What a wonderful blessing to be in the Family of God..special thanks to my beautiful cell sistas, staff and my new sistas in D1!!Thanks a bunch! Rushing Water

Can you hear the rushing water? I hear it in the voices of the Youth Staff from the Encounter weekend! I heard the sound at the altar after service yesterday as a beautiful couple gave their lives to Christ and will be attending cell groups tonight and tomorrow!! I hear the sound of God as He sends us treasures of people that are hungry to learn and grow! The rushing is partly from the next generation stepping into the rivers of God that are flowing towards us at Life Center..I am not a good swimmer, but I can tread water real well...so jump in church! The river continues to rise! Julie

Happy Tears

What a day.....everyone is bustling about! Adam and Anthony getting stuff together for the Youth Encounter at Sach's house. Christina,Ellie, Ruth, Nicole and Bethany are remodeling the CCK and Nursery areas for allll the little peoples!! And all I can think of is...when we came to Madison in 1991 THERE WERE NO CHILDREN! No babies or teens of any kind...and look now at what the Lord has done. Even as I type this my own lil grandson sleeps in my office while Mommy and Daddy and Grandpa and Auntie Tina serve in God's Great House!! What a privilege...I am living the Harvest....wow. Jesus...you are true to your word. Trust Him...His way works...might take a few years...Julie

Hungry for God

Wow! My Discovery 1 class has doubled in size and starts 30 minutes earlier because the folks are soooo hungry for God and want more!!! 2 ladies were not feeling well when they came but did NOT want to miss...showed up with homework done, ready to take notes and go home and apply these life lessons. What about you reading this? Are you hungry enough to come early, stand in line for church, tithe even if it was not tax deductible? Just asking....Jesus is better than life itself. Julie

Weekend Encounter

WOW!! God showed up in an amazing way. Our intention as a leadership team was to trust Christ completely for everything...and wow did He decide to honor that. In all humility, we have not experienced a river of God/His spirit/His power like that ever before...for the most part, indescribable!! Just to say that all else pales in comparision to His presence, love and power. We are indebted to Him for HIs kindness to us. Still in awe of all HE can accomplish in such a small amount of time...yet when HE is there, time stands still. We are learning the importance of cultivating a climate where He can dwell amongst us. The river is rising!!! Julie

Tonight

Off to a great start...God was doing a deep, gentle work. What a beautiful group of willing women to experience the love of Father God. Tomorrow we journey into the Promised Land through the Cross. Thank you Jesus. Julie

Today

Today will you accept His command to go and speak the gospel to every creature, will you place yourself at His disposal and begin at once to live for His Kingdom?? Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Julie

Freedom for the Ladies

This weekend is the Freedom weekend for our ladies! We are marching into the Promised Land of Forgiveness, Healing, Provision and Triumph through the Blood of the Lamb. Closing the doors to the hunger of the Wilderness that wants to creep back into our lives...breaking the chains on everything that has held us back from the abundant life Christ has for us. We have a Father and HE knows us by name...we are not forgotten and He is waiting for us to enter the Land of HIS freedom...so come on ladies...let's be singing the songs of Freedom. Pray for us and with us Church..we are completely trusting Christ to do the work in us this week. Nothing becomes dynamic until it first becomes specific!!
